A Legacy Written in the Sky
Fly360 has won a first prize awarded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a letter of appreciation from President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and two Limca Book of Records titles, and has kites in World Kite Museum collections in Washington D.C. and Istanbul.
First Prize: Gujarat International Kite Festival

Some achievements are measured in size. This one was measured in less than two inches: Ashok Shah designed and flew a fully functional 1.5-inch miniature kite.
At the Gujarat International Kite Festival, the ultra-miniature kite was awarded First Prize by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a tiny ambassador of India’s sky-arts tradition.
The smallest kite in the room earned the biggest honour on the field.
Largest Kite-Making Workshop
Solapur International Kite Festival, India
Teaching 1,017 people to make kites simultaneously, well enough to set a national record, is engineering as much as craft.
At the Solapur International Kite Festival, Fly360 ran the largest simultaneous kite-making and aerodynamics workshop, and every participant left with a kite they built themselves.
Record: 1,017 participants in one kite-making workshop.
Letter of Appreciation from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
New Delhi, India
Ashok Shah designed and gifted the “Pushpak”, a space shuttle-themed custom kite, to the former President of India and rocket scientist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Dr. Kalam replied with a personally signed Letter of Appreciation recognising the artistry and aerodynamic thinking behind the design: one of Fly360’s most treasured honours.
Inspired by aerospace, built from craft, appreciated by a president.
1,150 Kites on a Single Line: #PulseOfTheSky
Gujarat, India · Uttarayan 2023
In January 2023 the sky above Gujarat became a 1.2-kilometre canvas. Fly360 engineered and flew 1,150 custom-branded kites simultaneously on a single continuous line for DS Group.
Commissioned for the Pass Pass Pulse candy campaign, the activation earned a Limca Book of Records title for most kites flown on a single line.
Second Record: Pulse Candy Kite-Making Event
India
Fly360’s second Limca Book of Records title came from a mass-scale, branded kite-making event run with Pulse Candy (DS Group).
It showed that aerial experiences can engage thousands of people directly, build brand memory and set national benchmarks at the same time.

Permanent Collections at World Kite Museums
Washington D.C., USA · Istanbul, Turkey
Fly360’s artificial diamond-studded Lord Radha Krishna kite is part of the permanent collection at the World Kite Museum, Washington D.C.
A companion Lord Ganesh kite holds its place at the World Kite Museum in Istanbul: India’s cultural identity, stitched into ripstop nylon.
Indian artistry, preserved in museums on two continents.
Flying with the President of Mauritius
Mauritius
Fly360 represented India at the first International Kite Festival in Mauritius, a landmark in the island nation’s cultural calendar.
Nisarg Shah and the Fly360 team flew kites alongside the President of Mauritius, and discussed reviving kite-flying traditions on the island.
India-Germany Collaboration Kite
Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad
At the Ahmedabad International Kite Festival on the Sabarmati Riverfront, Fly360 designed a custom India-Germany kite celebrating the friendship between the two nations.
Ashok Shah flew the kite and handed it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the German Chancellor, who flew it together.
A single kite, carrying two flags, flown by the leaders of two nations.
